UK Pallet Network Asks for Support Due to Unprecedented Challenges

The current disruption to Resin Bound deliveries which many contractors are experiencing is forecast to last for the foreseeable future.

The Association of Pallet Networks has reported that they are facing severe challenges caused by several issues including the pandemic, unprecedented volumes of freight passing through the system and driver shortages following Brexit. (According to Logistics UK, the logistics industry has a shortfall of approximately 80,000 drivers).

Derbyshire Specialist Aggregates is working closely with its partners in the haulage network who are asking for patience and understanding at this difficult time. In particular, they have advised that where a project is time sensitive, materials are ordered in advance with a delivery date of at least 48 hours prior to the day of installation being chosen.
