Historic King's College London Resurfaced with DALTEX Resin Bound

We were thrilled when our customers TP Surfacing and Coatings chose DALTEX to resurface The Strand Quad at King's College London, which has been a part of the original university building since its completion in 1831.

The two-colour design utilising DALTEX Bespoke blends Fossil and Glacier was completed in May 2022 with incredible results.

As part of a modernisation project, the worn asphalt surface of the Quad was removed and replaced with a new resin bound gravel surface, covering over 1800m2.

The surface now provides the Quad space with a clean and modern look, whilst still being sympathetic to the history and style of surrounding buildings; the King's Building and East Wing of Somerset House, both of which are Grade I listed.

The attractive yet durable new surface has improved this consistently used outdoor space which has thousands of campus visitors every year.
