DALTEX Pore Filler

— Or —
DALTEX Internal/Pore Filler is designed as a pore filler for internal resin bound / stone carpet systems. The Pore Filler exhibits superior pseudoplastic properties making it ideal for squeegee application.
Product Application
DALTEX Internal/Pore Filler should be lightly squeegeed onto the surface. Start at one end/edge of the area and work towards the exit keeping the wet edge. Do not take breaks during install.
For best results we recommend application onto DALTEX resin bound aggregates up to 3-4mm in size. As the Pore Filler dries in may shrink back slightly. In a larger void this may leave a pinhole.
Typical application rate for 1-3mm aggregates is 1.2m²/kg. A second coat can be applied, coverage will depend on the remaining voids between 3-4m²/kg.
It is important not to spill the material. Ensure that any spills are squeegeed over immediately. Any spills allowed to dry too long will be seen through the overcoat.
In areas of high humidity or where the surface is likely to come in to contact with water regularly, once the Pore Filler is fully dry and transparent, we recommend rolling on one or two coats of DALTEX sealer. DALTEX Pore Filler needs to be fully protected from continuous water exposure. DALTEX Pore Filler will leave the resin bound surface with an open textured satin finish. We always recommend a small trial area to ensure suitability before main application.
The material is designed to fill the surface voids and applying the material constantly repeatedly in one area with too much pressure applied can force further resin into the matrix, reducing coverage rates.
