MOT Type 3 is a permeable sub-base material and is a clean, angular limestone aggregate which forms an integral layer for the DALTEX Base4Bound system. Unlike MOT Type 1, it contains a reduced amount of fines (dust) so that water can drain through freely while the base remains compact and stable.
Application instructions
The MOT Type 3 sub-base should be installed at a minimum depth of 125mm, with the option to increase up to 225mm depending on the permeability of the existing sub-stone. Spread the MOT Type 3 evenly across the prepared area and compact thoroughly using a roller or wacker plate to achieve a stable and free-draining base.
