NEW DALTEX 90° Bound

— Or —
The new Daltex 90° Bound is supplied in a 4 part kit, specially designed for improved performance on steps, walls and sloping surfaces.
New Daltex 90° Bound s supplied in a 1.84kg kit consisting of of Resin Primer Part A (0.313kg), Hardener Primer Part B (0.3kg), Resin Binder Part A (0.627kg) Hardener Binder Part B (0.6kg).
Aggregates between 1-6mm can now be used ensuring that the vertical area on steps seamlessly match the look of the horizontal.
It is an extremely thixotropic version of our market-leading DALTEX Performance UVR Resin. The product is UV stable and will not discolour with age. It can also be used with aggregate sizes up to 8 mm, although coverage rates will vary depending on aggregate size and application thickness.
Coverage
One kit will cover approx 1sqm or 5 linear metres (assuming an average step of 200mm).
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare Surface – Ensure the vertical surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or loose material.
Step 2: Mix Primer Resin (A + B) – Thoroughly mix Primer Part B into Primer Part A until a consistent blend is achieved.
Step 3: Apply Primer – Apply the primer evenly with a trowel onto the vertical surface. Stipple the surface with a paint brush or similar. Ensure full coverage. Do not allow the primer to cure before applying the stone mix.
Step 4: Mix Binder Resin (A + B) – Thoroughly mix Binder Part B into Binder Part A until uniform.
Step 5: Add Aggregate – Add aggregate to the mixed binder resin and mix until all stones are evenly coated.
Aggregate size: 1-6mm (to match the existing blend for visual consistency).
Step 6: Apply to Vertical Surface – Trowel the resin-bound mixture onto the primed surface while the primer is still wet/tacky.
Apply at a thickness of 5–6mm. Thickness can be increased up to 15mm, however this will reduce coverage rates.
Step 7: Curing – Allow the system to fully cure. Cure time will depend on ambient temperature and site conditions.
