Resin Bonded Surface Preparation

All bituminous surfaces to be treatedshould be sealed/primed toprevent the resin from soaking in to the capillarypores. Newly installed bituminous surfaces should be installed and compacted to current British Standard specifications. Examples of various suggested buildups are available on request. Existing bituminous surfaces must be of sound construction; any weakness could result in a bond failure or blistering.

We strongly recommend that the client should take or instruct that core samples are taken to confirm base suitability. Concrete and timber surfaces should be primed firstSteel surfaces should be degreased and lightly shot blasted or suitably abraded. Metal surfaces also require priming.

SURFACES TO BE TREATED MUST BE DRY - DO NOT APPLY IN WET CONDITIONS
